    Would the WSOP 2012 - $1 million buy-in available?

WSOP 2012, $1 million buy-in, million-dollar tournament was a huge success. Could it be available to play online?
The big success of the World Series of Poker 2012 - $1 million buy-ins was amazing - Something really big happened during the WSOP 2012 when 30 players confirmed to enter in a high-stakes poker tournament with $1 million buy-in to play for the huge prize of $12.3 million. This high-roller poker tournament was organized by Guy Laliberté (Cirque du Soleil owner) to raise money (11% of the buy-ins) for his non-governmental organization, One Drop.

These high-roller players were 10 professional poker players and 20 rich businessmen. The final table of the million-dollar poker tournament was broadcasted live on ESPN. The biggest prize pool on WSOP was $12 million in 2006 won by Jamie Gold. Hopefully, they can reproduce this high-roller poker tournament online. Players can live anywhere but must be within New Jersey borders to play.

WSOP announces dates for edition 2021 and WSOP Europe

"It's not an April Fool's joke," warned the WSOP when it announced on Thursday the dates for the 2021 edition of the Poker World Cup. The headquarters will still be the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino, in Las Vegas. The WSOP in Las Vegas is scheduled to happen from September 30 to November 23, "pending state regulatory approval," according to the statement.

The full WSOP 2021 schedule will be released during the summer but the organization has already put forward attractions for the first weekend of the series. In addition to a special charity event to help frontline health workers, a $ 25,000 buy-in HORSE tournament and a $ 5 million guaranteed No-Limit Hold'em tournament named “The Reunion” is scheduled.

The Main Event, the main poker tournament in the world, will take place from the 4th to the 17th of November, with four qualifying days. The organization also clarifies that it will follow all Covid-19 security protocols and state measures on social distance and capacity limits that are in effect at the dates of the tournaments.

"This year, more than ever, we welcome our role at the WSOP to deliver a memorable experience and bring the poker-loving community back together," said Ty Stewart, WSOP Executive Director. "In 2021, the theme is to be vaccinated and return to Las Vegas".

The WSOP Online, in 2020 held both at WSOP.com, for players in the United States. Poker players in New Jersey and Nevada will have the opportunity, for sure, of their location to enter satellite tournaments and try their qualification to the event. Remember that any player who is living elsewhere can travel to New Jersey and play WSOP online. The site is not only open for NJ residents, but also for everyone visiting the state.

If you want a book recommendation about the WSOP land-based events, I'd suggest you this one:

HOW I EARNED MILLIONS BY PLAYING POVER IN THE WORLD SERIES OF POKER

The author tells how the popularity of online poker and television broadcasting gave the game greater visibility and started to attract thousands of people. With that, the profile of the players also changed. The poker universe, which requires knowledge of human nature, is revealed as you progress through reading.

Annie Duke, co-authored with David Diamond, intersperses the moves of her participation in one of the main tournaments in the world with moves from her family life that were important for her personal and professional training.

A mother of four, Annie Duke was the first woman to win two major tournaments in the same year.

In 2004, Annie Duke won 2 million dollars in the World Series of Poker (WSOP) Tournament of Champions and also her first gold bracelet as the winner of the 35th WSOP, the maximum event in the sport for having the highest bets and the highest prestige.

With descriptions of the compositions of the tables, the personalities of the participants, the succession of plays, bets and bluffs, the author guides the reader through the game rooms. The expert player reveals her tactics and strategies.

"At first, I just try to guess the personality of each one, then I try to calculate how the bearer of that personality would act under certain conditions."

The book teaches you how to improve your poker skills, readjust the game and regulate timing. It also shows how to act in different playing conditions. For anyone looking to become a professional, Annie Duke gives important advice and emphasizes that poker requires study and preparation.

To facilitate the reader's understanding, important guidelines are highlighted within the text, such as how to master the art of appearing disinterested so that it is impossible to predict what will be done at any time during the game. The book is not just for those who already know to play well. As poker has its own language, the publication includes a glossary with the main terms.

WSOP Las Vegas poker players' review

    Room Quality: 2
I didn't the vibe of playing in the big open area. Felt like an airport. The rake was too high in general. I only played tourneys, and those were raked too high, too. The afternoon deep stacks were fun with tons of players. I didn't cash in either of my two events, so we won't talk about those.
    Competition: 2
Some really good players mixed with OK players. The deep stacks were beatable.
    Dealers: 1
Dealers were bad in general. Some were really bad. Some were worse.
    Cocktails: 3
They did OK for such a large room with so many players.
    Management: 1
They get a bad for raking too much to play cash games.

    Room Quality: 5
I played in Pavilion, Amazon, and Brasilian during my WSOP experience. Loved Amazon. Pavilion and Brasilian were great too. Played the 1000 $ event 33, and finished around 360th place
    Competition: 2
In a World Series Event, it ain't easy. Played against bracelet guys including Phil Ivey
    Dealers: 5
    Best dealers in Vegas
    Cocktails: 4
Great cocktails, took a few minutes too long sometimes, but can't complain,
    Management: 5
Management the best guys in the world. Was moved inside the Amazon and 1 minute after my move it was a break, I went to the bathroom, when I came back I had forgotten which table I was moved to, The brush and I went looking pretty much through the entire Amazon room, in the end, we found my backpack at my seat. Breaking tables were smooth and good. and hands down the best guys I've met in my life. if it was ranking from 1-100, I would give it a 100
    Comps & Bonuses: 4
    Payed my lunch :)

    Room Quality: 3
The rooms are rather average. You get the feeling you are playing in LA at the Commerce or Bike although the chairs are only average. Not quite to the level of the other high-end rooms in Vegas.
    Competition: 3
Players were average. I thought the 2-5NL game I played in was rather soft although you had a couple of decent players, I got a terrible draw in PLO and I didn't stay long in the game (Of course I have to draw the one table with 6 other quality players.). We did have one fish but I was card dead. I would give the PLO a 2 or 3 and NL a 4. Tournaments were 3-4 range as well.
    Dealers: 3
Dealers made a few mistakes. One dealer had no control over the PLO game. One dealer didn't hear that the blinds went up in the tournament and we played at a lower level for a few hands. Other dealers were quite good and should be given excellent grades. To quote Forrest Gump... life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you are going to get..... Apply that with WSOP dealers.
    Cocktails: 4
They were quick and if you wanted water of red bull you got it right away. Other drinks didn't take that long.
    Management: 3
The $1500 they were good, the cash game section was good as well. They went missing in the $235 daily when we got to 7 players and the dealer put a hold on the game for 2 minutes until we could find one to get us more players. They also have to put some more thought in the lines to register. Took 20 minutes for the $1500 and 30 minutes for the $235 daily I played. And I get the feeling that those times aren't as bad as some others had to wait.
    Comps & Bonuses: 2
    What comps?
