Online Craps - USA

Craps tables are always crowded at United States casinos looking for fun, socialize and real money

Most of the online casinos in the United States calls it simply Stud poker, but it is known as Online Caribbean Stud Poker as well, largely because of the fact that this variation on poker came from the Caribbean, about the same time that poker in general made it to America.

A 5-card poker game played with one deck of cards, Online Caribbean Stud Poker is played against the Dealer. First you have to place an Ante.

In Stud poker your ante is considered your first bet. Once this is done you will receive your first hand. After taking a look at your hand you will have to make a decision about whether or not you wish to bet against the Dealer's hand.
One of the dealer's cards is dealt face up. Your decision on whether or not to bet must be made on comparing this card against the merits of your five card hand.

If the dealer has a good card and you deem that there is a good chance that the dealer will beat your hand, you may choose to fold. Doing this will forfeit your Ante.

If however, you deem that the dealer has a weaker card, you may stand a good chance of winning. If this is the case you may choose to bet against the dealer.

In order to bet against the dealer, you must double your ante. This can be done by clicking RAISE. Winning relies on beating the dealer's hand.

But the dealer must qualify first by getting any hand containing an Ace and a King or better. If the Dealer does not qualify, you are paid 1 to 1 on your Ante and your raise is returned to you as a push.

If your hand beats the Dealer's hand and the Dealer qualifies, you're paid on the Ante and your Raise.

The payoff of the Ante is 1 to 1. The payout on your bet will be determined by the quality of your hand.

If the Dealer beats your hand, you lose both your Ante and your bet. In the event that you and the Dealer have the same hand, the next highest card (kicker) determines the winner.

There is an unfortunate myth out there that Caribbean Stud poker is somehow a simplistic game that is too easy to play.

In other words, a lot of people have the impression that they can play Stud poker forever and they will not lose much money. This is an entirely incorrect assumption about Caribbean Stud poker.

This is the kind of game that can become as complicated and as challenging as you like it. That's what makes it such a great game for everyone. You can control how challenging the game is by controlling your betting limits.

The upshot to this is that if you are new to poker, Caribbean stud poker is a great way to ease yourself into the game.

For beginners, the fact that you can play all night is a great chance to get to know how to play poker in general.

You can take the time to play as long as you want to familiarize yourself with the cards and you don't have to worry about losing your shirt.

At USA online casinos, Caribbean Stud Poker gives you the perfect balance between classic poker action and streamlined ease, making it great for either new players or old hats looking for a break from the routine of classic poker rules.

Stud Cards and Payouts

Like most poker games, stud poker is played with a standard 52 card deck. The highest card is an ace followed by the king, queen, jack, 10, 9 ...and so on to 2.

Unlike Blackjack or baccarat, the cards do not have a specific assigned value, instead, in stud poker, you have to use the cards to make special card combinations (hands) that have a certain ranking in the hand hierarchy of the game.

In Caribbean Stud poker the ranking of the hands and their related payouts both regular and progressive are thus:

Royal Flush 1,000 to 1 100% of Jackpot,
Straight Flush 200 to 1 10% of Jackpot,
Four of a Kind 100 to 1 $500,
Full House 15 to 1 $100,
Flush 10 to 1 $50,
Straight 4 to 1,
Three of a Kind 3 to 1,
Two Pairs 1 to 1,
One Pair 1 to 1,
Ace & King 1 to 1

How to Play Silver Dollar Stud Poker

On the value of the dealer's face-up card you must decide whether to increase your bet to maximize your winnings - 'CALL' or to minimize your losses - 'FOLD'.

In Online Progressive Caribbean Stud Poker, no additional cards are dealt. The player and the dealer compare hands formed from their five cards.

When a bet is placed on the progressive area, the player will win an appropriate amount of the progressive pot even if the dealer's hand wins.

The dealer's hand must contain at least one ace and one king in order to qualify. If the dealer's hand does not qualify, you receive 1 to 1 on your ante and your bet is returned to you without winnings.

If the dealer's hand does qualify with a value of at least one ace and one king, the best hand wins. Your winning hand receives 1 to 1 on the ante plus the winnings on your bet calculated according to the winnings table.

If you fold you lose your ante whether or not the dealer qualifies.

If the dealer's hand does not have a minimum poker combination of an ace-king the dealer fails to qualify. If this occurs your bet is returned to you together with double your 'Ante' regardless of the value of your cards.

If the dealer's hand does qualify, it is compared to your hand. If the dealer's hand has a higher poker combination than the player's hand, then you lose both your 'Ante' and your 'Bet'.

If the dealer's hand has a lower poker combination than your hand, you win twice your 'Ante' and you are paid out on your 'Bet' according to the paytable.

If both the dealer's and player's hand tie, the party with the next highest-ranking card is the winner. If there is an absolute tie, the player gets all their money back.

-You always win on your progressive bet, even if the dealer does not qualify.
