Legal online poker deposits blocked
The Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act of 2006 can be causing some problems for players trying to deposit using credit cards in approved and regulated online gambling sites in Nevada.
These problems was reported when a Nevada punter tried to make deposits using a VISA credit card that resulted in "declined by bank" messages. Actually the credit card issued bank knew nothing about this rejection which can be generated directly by the credit card company.
Now that we have some legalised online gaming sites operating in Nevada and very soon in New Jersey, UIGEA could represent a problem to find out which online gambling financial transaction is legal and those that are not.
"Some credit card companies may block online gaming transactions. Contact your credit card issuer to find out if this charge was blocked intentionally. Let them know that this is something you want and that WSOP online poker is fully regulated and legal in the state of Nevada. If the credit card issuer will still not let you make this transaction, you may want to try a different card."
