Poker Players' Review
Room Quality: 5
The tables, chairs, chips and such were in great shape. Cleaner than the average L.V. poker rooms. Dedicated room far away from the cigarette smoke from the casino. Welll spaced and uncramped layout.

I might lean towards a 3.5 if that option was available. But mostly a friendly bunch with the minimal amount of grouches.

Got'em in and got'em out. No mistakes that I recall in many hours of playing there. Made conversation and laughed at my jokes, but not overly chatty.
Cocktails: 5
Came often, got orders correct and very sweet ladies.

Everything went smooth. Kept tables full and ran tourney correctly. Free Stations jacket and pizza for AVP'ers moved this rating from 4 to 5 :)

$1 an hour good at all Stations properties. Good promos...high hands, royals, bad beat etc...
Room Quality: 5
This is one of the most beautiful rooms I've ever played in.
Competition: 3
Played with some people who knew what they were doing, and several who just spewed chips.

I'll say excellent for the most part. I was playing on the graveyard shift, so they cycled through our table much more often. One dealer interjected into player conversations way too much, but other than that, the dealers were outstanding.
Cocktails: 5
There was always a waitress nearby.

I wish I could remember the floor's name. He did a great job, and was very helpful with customers.

I'm not sure about comps, but it's a station casino, so there is that bad beat. I was there playing because of a promotion. On 121212 if you flopped quad Qs, you won 12k. If you turned or rivered them, it was still 1200. Nifty little promotion. Except I never even saw pocket QQ. Oh, well.

The room is separate from the rest of the casino and close to the sports book for those that want it. Everything looked good and the chairs where comfortable. There are several TV screens around and I'm sure that sports is the most common thing on.

I only played the HORSE tourny so cannot speak about the live games.
Dealers: 3
The range of skill of the dealers was from very good to weak. Some of them had trouble with split pots and I'm sure that they mostly deal Hold em
Cocktails: 4
I only drink water but that was brought quickly and the waitresses were friendly

I was signed up for the tourney quickly. I would like to see them have a visual clock for the tourney but I did not miss any of the announcements I just like to know how much time is left in a level.

Don't have any idea.
Room Quality: 4
The tables were nicely laid out, not too cramped. The chairs seemed comfortable for the two tournaments I played.
Competition: 2
I played in a HORSE tourney and some people didn't even know some of the games, but of course, they were in with anything on some of the games and would get lucky more often than not. Makes them difficult to beat.
Dealers: 4
Only one goof during the HORSE tournament, but mostly they seemed like they knew how to deal and rule all of the games.
Cocktails: 5
Very quick and very good looking (IMO)

The people on the floor were very helpful and went out of their way for a newbie to casino play like myself.

Can't comment, don't know

Nice, clean, spacious well-upholstered room, with more than enough flat-screen TVs to watch sports on the side.

Some of the older locals grind the tourists, and you'll frequently see tourists walk away from the table either felted or well down from their starting stack. 2/4 is very loose, but mostly passive, hard to knock people off the pot, so you've got to pick your spots, hope top-top or better holds up, or try to make your draws, and even then, you might run into backdoor straights and boats, because again, players just won't lay it down unless they're certainly beat. I saw 9 full houses in the 3 hours I played. The $40 tournament, which has a field of about 30 people daily, is also very passive, and the 30 minute blinds allow you to get some play in, whether the starting stack is 2000 or 4000 (after paying the $5 dealer bonus) chips. There are strong regulars who come in and make the final table almost everyday. Expect to be called down frequently: again, this is a loose crowd that loves their drawing hands.

Friendly veteran dealers kept the games going smoothly, made sure blinds were posted before the deal and the like.

I had no drinks but my fellow players noted the service was efficient and the drinks were strong.
Management: 4
They were sharp, handled transactions efficiently and made sure they filled ring seats when they came open.
Comps & Bonuses: 3
Usual Station points system. Great to get in on if you're a local. I hear they send you a jacket after so many hours... among many other things, of course.

Very spacious.Quiet but not too quiet. Nice t.v.s for your watching pleasure.Clean and neat.

Lots of good players here.Beatable, but you improve your game against better players.Play here some, then go down to the strip and punish everyone!

Fantastic. The dealers and management are the #1 reason I go to the GVR. Dealers very, very rarely make mistakes, are personable and keep the game going quickly. They all are fantastic but the ones who truly stand out are Daniel,Simon, and Jayme. The chip runner girl,Tammy,is a spitfire and knows everyone by name. (5+ for dealers and mngmt.)

Very fast and good looking. I'll take service over looks anyday. This is not a dig at anyone's looks as I can find beauty in anything! Top notch service.
Management: 5
You can have the pompous Bellagio animals or the tools down at the MGM,I'll take the collection @ the GVR over any and all in Vegas, baby! If you're a "regular" or a "tourist" you are assured of being treated well here. Unlike most of Vegas, almost all appear to enjoy their jobs,go figure!
Comps & Bonuses: 5
Get the stations card and you are good to go. Beautiful rooms, food for every taste, and a fair comp system.
