Nebraska takes to the road after a miracle finish on a hail Mary last week to beat Northwestern in Lincoln on the final play of the game with their third string quarterback. That home game came after their last road trip where they lost to Minnesota in an ugly way with an injured Taylor Martinez at quarterback and a defense that could not stop the run.
NFL betting Sites - USA & Canada gamblers - Live oddsMichigan on the other hand have issues of their own trying to bounce back after a beat down at in state rival Michigan State last weekend 29-6, and as of the last 3 games the Wolverine defense is giving up 452 yards a game. Michigan is looking to avenge a 23-9 road loss last year to Nebraska, and the Huskers are scrambling to see who plays quarterback this week as Martinez is listed as doubtful again this week. Word is Tommy Armstrong will get the start with Martinez making the trip as well, but 3rd string senior Ron Kellogg will stand in for a backup, of course Kellogg threw the game winning TD last week. Interesting to note that Nebraska 0-8-1 against the spread on the road their last 9 times against a home team with a winning record. Allot on the line here for both teams.
All this said I cannot trust Nebraska on the road to win a big game, and with both teams at 6-2 on the year and still in the hunt for a Legends division title, it is Nebraska with more on the line as they still get Michigan State in Lincoln who leads the division right now. I cannot count on Nebraska to win straight up but the Huskers 2 headed running back monster, and versatile QB situation as a dual threat with Armstrong, makes them a tough opponent for Michigan, whose QB Gardner has been more than inconsistent this season, as their whole offense has been. Nebraska is a threat offensively in this game and their offense should keep them in this game.
Nebraska was a 1 point favorite last year in Lincoln and now we have them listed at +7 and a Total of 57.5 in this game. I would give a slight lean to Nebraska to cover the number and also a small look at OVER the number in this game as well.
