Petit Palace Gran Via Madrid Hotel - NOT RECOMMENDED
They use several names: Petit Palace Gran Via Madrid, Petit Palace Madrid, Petit Palace Cliper Gran Vía, Cliper Petit Palace Madrid, etc. Not sure why, but it is the same hotel which will be remembered for the worst hotel experience we ever had. It is impressive how this hotel doesn't care about families, couples, and business people that pick them for their stay. To give you a glimpse of what happened: The hotel Petit Palace Gran Via Madrid allows street prostitutes to enter the hotel. The result: we stayed one entire night with no sleep conditions. We didn't sleep one night and lost our business appointment the next day at 8am.
Petit Palace Gran Via Madrid is very bad
For not having conditions to offer calm and family-friendly accommodation, I would say that Petit Palace Gran Via Madrid is very bad. I will never more be a guest in this dirty joint. We book Petit Palace Gran Via Madrid hotel online after checking some pictures and the hotel location. We paid for the hotel reservation and they didn't provide us a good service.
The check-in process was fast and good. We went to our room and it was alright. After the check-in, we took a stroll around to know a little bit of the beautiful Madrid. We came for business with a visit to the Gran Casino Madrid and the luxurious Casino Gran Via.
For this reason, we booked Petit Palace Gran Via Madrid hotel. It is a few steps from the Gran Via. The Casino Gran Via is a block ahead and the Gran Casino Madrid is very close. We thought this hotel could be the best for our stay.
Well, it wouldn't happen how we expected.
When we returned to the hotel at night, after dinner, we decided to go to bed early to start our business visits early morning. Our idea is to take our breakfast at 8 am and head to the business office at 9 am for a meeting and then a visit to the casinos during the afternoon.
Petit Palace Gran Via Madrid - a nightmare
Me and my wife was sleeping very well and suddenly we woke up with a stoned guy screaming very loud at 4 am! I couldn't believe what was happening. The guy brought a street prostitute and they both were having sex from 4 am to 6 am.
The girls were very quiet, but the guy was probably on drugs screaming like a crazy chicken. We couldn't believe this! As it was not enough, a half-hour after it was started, the guy went to the hotel's corridors and started to call his friend some rooms away. They wanted to exchange the girls. They were shouting "I will pay for it! Why do you think I won't pay you?"
I was so tired that I couldn't even wake up to make these guys shut up. The front desk person was probably sleeping elsewhere. I never went to a situation like this. This hotel proves to be a real clutter. They should use it to grow pigs instead accept people.
Prostitutes at Petit Palace Gran Via Madrid
The problem is that in the Calle de la Montera (next to the hotel), there are a lot of whores during the night. Probably these two guys were out in a nightclub and when they leave it, they went to the Calle de la Montera to get some prostitutes.
The front desk person allows them to enter the hotel with two whores. For me, not a problem, but come on... respect other guests. When they started talking in the corridors very loud at 5 am it was impossible that the front desk person didn't listen for it.
The Next Day
I went down to the front desk and complained about this situation. The girl told me that she didn't hear anything (impossible). I made a test with my wife: she stayed on the front desk and I went to the third floor and started to talk loud just the guys were doing. She listened perfectly well.
There is two possible situations here: 1 - The front desk person was asleep elsewhere; 2 - The front desk person allows the guys to enter the hotel with prostitutes and did nothing about the noise because the guys were on drugs.
For the next night, I advised the staff of Petit Palace Gran Via Madrid that if it happens again I would solve the problem by myself. I went out of the hotel and found a police car and talked with a cop about it. I told him the entire case and he told me that they will start monitoring the hotel. He also advised me that if it happens again, to call the police.
I returned to the hotel and talked with the staff again being very clear that should the same situation happen again this night they would pay a high price for it.
Fortunately, I slept well the second night.

It was the worst hotel I ever stayed. Petit Palace Gran Via Madrid hotel is disgusting and their administrative staff doesn't care about the guests. If you want to get street whores and have sex all night long, go book your room at Petit Palace Gran Via Madrid Hotel. If you go to Madrid for tourism or business, pick another hotel. Petit Palace Gran Via Madrid Hotel is the worst nightmare I ever had.
