Sunborn Yacht Hotel in Gibraltar is a five-star luxury hotel in a floating Yacht. It is actually the first luxury yacht hotel. It is very well located in the Ocean Village Marina close to the pubs and restaurants. Sunborn Yacht Hotel Gibraltar has 167 rooms, 4 executive suites, 18 suites and very well equipped with restaurants, bars, gym, spa, casino, deck with pool and room service. It was a great experience and I was very happy with the services and staff in the hotel.

The location is very good and all the services are simply perfect. As a 5-star luxury hotel, you may expect a little more in some points but overall, Sunborn Yacht Hotel is excellent. This was the first time I stayed in a luxury yacht hotel, which is permanently moored only serving as accommodation. I was very curious about how it would be, especially after visiting the site and know something more about this luxury hotel.

After my days on board this floating hotel, my expectations surpassed by the services and room quality. The check-in was very fast and all the staff on the front desk were very friendly. The hotel lobby is very beautiful and gives you an idea of what you will have during your stay. In the hotel lobby, you have the elevators for your room and on the other side, you can go to the casino or, upstairs in a bar or restaurant.

There are a lot of things to do if you are a guest of the Sunborn Yacht Hotel in Gibraltar. I'd say that if you are on a business trip, you can stay your spare time enjoying all the hotels can offer. To your room, you will need to take the elevator and walk through the beautiful and very well decorated corridors of the hotel. The room's door is on wood and everything is very well conservated.

Rooms

I stayed in a Suite of Sunborn Yacht Hotel and was impressed not only by the size but the quality. The room is very beautiful with stunning views from the ocean, Gibraltar mountain, and airport runway.

The room is very well equipped with a desk to work, a comfortable sofa, a big HD TV, minibar, and a coffee machine. The windows are big (floor to ceiling) which is great for you to keep contemplating beautiful views.

The balcony is huge, and you have a good sitting area with a sofa and table. Depending on the floor of your room you will have really stunning views from your room and balcony.

The mini-bar has a good quantity of items including water, beer, vodka, snacks, juice, and more. The bedroom is separated from the living room and is also equipped with a big HD TV and a very comfortable bed. The bathroom is very spacious with everything you can imagine.

Ammenities

The breakfast area has views of the ocean and you can also go outside to take a walk. The tables are well decorated and everything very well organized. Basically, you say the room number to the restaurant reception and they will guide you to the table. The staff of the restaurant is very friendly. The variety of breakfast is very good, but I'd say I was expecting more in terms of quantity. The quality is very high, though. You can drink juice, champagne, and also a good variety of hot and cold on the buffet.

The gym and the spa are very close and are beautiful environments to take care of your health. The gym has everything you need to a good workout and can be compared with any other gym. Going out of the gym, you can take a walk to the ship deck on the back where people use to take a sunbath or sip a drink in a sitting area. On the other extreme of the ship, there are a small but beautiful pool, a bar, and more sunbath and sitting areas. On the second floor, there is a bar with a very cozy design where you can eat and drink something. In both sunbath areas, you have beautiful views: ocean, mountains and airport runway.
