Every year, on February two important events for casinos, are taking place in London. The ICE London is a good option to visit and check the new casino games and technologies to be applied in the casino industry, while the LAC (London Affiliate Conference) is dedicated to online casino affiliate programs meet webmasters and talk about business and marketing strategies to promote their brands and offers to punters worldwide. Both events are very well organized and important for the gaming market.
I must start by saying that ICE was a very disappointing event. It seems all casino game developers are frozen on time producing the same old 5 reel slots that can award you free spins if you get 3 scatter symbols and the Wild symbol can contribute to forming winning combinations. They cannot go beyond that. Some developers are launching clones from their popular slot games. I'm very disappointed with the lack of innovation... the lack of creativity of the casino games.
I believe that some businesses are very comfortable serving casinos with the all same stuff and casinos are also comfortable with accepting any new game to offer its players the same thing, but with different graphics.
The thousands of online casinos today are offering pretty much the same thing - slots, live dealers, sports betting and some of them claims an innovation because are offering e-sports betting.
Businesses seem lazy on creating something new in the casino industry in general. I am not satisfied with what I am offering to my clients, but all the stuff came from the casinos I am working with, that are buying content from the developers they are working with.
A part of this sameness, there are a few online casinos that are developing their own slot games and allowing players to enjoy something different. Win a Day Casino is one of these options. The casino is managed by Slotland and has been online since 1998 offering exclusive and unique casino games. The games are not innovative, but at least not the same thing we see on thousands of online casinos.
Honestly, I didn't see anything significant from the developers. Again, the creativity is very down and I really expect to see some innovation on slots very soon. In the situation the igaming industry is now, I found more interesting for slots players the style of slot games found at gambling halls in Spain (like Chiringuito Beach, Woonsters Hotel, and others) that have two sets of reels and bonus games. We need innovation in casino games right now!
On part of the game releases (with no innovation), there were a lot of panels talking about market regulation of online casinos and online sports betting in Brazil. All the euphoria about the regulation of online gambling in Brazil, which is analyzed very professionally by our LatAm expert below:
There are a lot of scammers announcing something that is not the reality in the Brazilian iGaming market. Fortunately, we have a couple of clients that we are working for some years, providing them with solid information about the situation of online gambling in Brazil. I see a lot of brands hiring people to develop the online casino in Brazil that don't have any experience. The result is what we are seeing now: a lot of buzz, but no results. Brazilian audience is completely different than other markets. Nothing will happen if your online casino is working with these bunch of scammers.
Anyway, for your information, online gambling in Brazil (casinos and sportsbooks) won't be regulated. Never. So, stop buying the buzz that scammers are selling and start listening for a real professional that are specialist in the Brazilian igaming market. Period.
LAC - London Affiliate Conference
The London conference is an event to attend and I make the possible to be present and talk directly with the best online casino operators which are listed here at CasinoBillionaire. We have 2 days of conference and just one day off before we flew back to Malta.
During the LAC conference, we talked with the most important online casinos and also meet up with new executives to sign more exclusive deals for our clients. Because we only list the most reputable online casinos, we make sure to sit and talk with managers behind each casino to make sure our visitors won't be harmed and will get paid on time, will be playing in a trusted and fair online gaming environment and will have professional support. In these two days, we were in talks with executives of the best online casinos that casinobillionaire.com is working with.
It was exhausting days but when it comes to providing exclusive deals for our readers, it worth every effort. I walked the corridors of LAC very discreetly. I talked with my top 5 brands and go out. No one read my barcode to spam commission deals. I'm not into it anymore.
To be honest with you, I believe it was my last conference. I believe I will only attend iGB Lisbon because I started to work with more online casinos in Portugal, that will open to Brazilian players very soon.
From now on, I will visit my clients directly and not attend any casino conference anymore. I have a few clients and partners and the rest are just a bunch of new online casinos that I am not interested in recommending to my visitors (for security reasons).
My visits in Malta
February is a busy month when we all visit to London to attend two of the biggest gaming conferences. This time we decided to include a break after all the functions of our business. So, after a lot of meetings, we headed to Malta to stay for two entire weeks. Our main goal was to unwind and sightseeing around, but obviously we added some business visits during our stay as we've signed important agreements during the conference in London with brands such as Casumo, Videoslots, Cherry, and more.
Apart from the business meetings we had a great time in Malta. We stayed in a good hotel in Sliema, close the marina and with a beautiful view of the ocean and to the capital Valetta. The hotel Sliema Marina Hotel was a nice choice. The staff is very friendly and ready to assist you with anything you may need. The location is perfect: steps from the best cafes, shopping, restaurants. The view from Valetta is impressive and it seems everything is at walking distance.
So, what we did in Malta? You can find a lot of activities in Malta from a classic sightseeing hop-on hop-off bus to a variety of water activities or extreme sports.
We first took the worldwide famous hop-on-hop-off bus to sightsee the island and visit important sites offered on two routes. I believe these tours gives you a good outlook on the place you just arrived in. After that, you will better identify which activity is the best for you where you want to return to an in-depth visit/exploration.
Malta offers you a great variety of restaurants and if you like to experience the different cuisines start writing a list of your preferred restaurants to visit!
We also get an entire day to visit Gozo island, but honestly, I'd recommend you to visit Gozo in two days (or more days if you want to explore this place right). There are a lot of beautiful sites to explore there and if you like photography you will be delighted!
Mdina is also a nice place to visit and if possible to stay more than one day. There are hotels, restaurants, shops inside the city and you can have a unique experience staying there. I think Mdina is one of the most interesting things I ever saw and it's highly recommended that you put this small city on your list of to-do activities in Malta. It's impressive the history behind Mdina and it was a pleasure took a stroll within the city's great wall.
Malta restaurants Although it is possible to get restaurant tours in Malta, we didn't take it and instead, we chose some restaurants for dinner. Ta'Kris. s-Surfside
