Snoopy Tennis Nintendo Game Watch - here's another classic handheld game from the old school. Snoopy Tennis Game & Watch was released in April 1982 and sold over a million copies worldwide.
In this game, Snoopy plays tennis with Lucy and Charlie Brown. You control Snoopy and you have to throw the ball back to the Lucy and Charlie Brown side by standing in the right position... When the game begins Charlie Brown will start playing tennis with you (Snoopy) and occasionally, Lucy appears on top of the screen and the ball will be thrown faster. If you play Game B, you will have more balls in game and the speed is faster. The speed of the gameplay will increase gradually and every 100 points it will return to the normal speed. The maximum score is 9,999 and when you reach 200, 500, 1200, 1500 up to 9500 all misses are canceled and in case you don't have no misses you will receive about a minute with extra points for each ball thrown back.
Snoopy Tennis Game & Watch is very funny and it's a classic game that will put you back to the '80s. This is part of my private collection and I enjoy this game very much. Unfortunately, I bought it from a website in Brazil, like eBay, and there are some LCD bleed on it.... but guess what, I keep the game on the sun for 3 minutes and enjoy hours of fun ;) Check the Snoopy Tennis Game & Watch video below:

Charlie throws the balls against you and you have to throw them back by standing in the right position and hitting the ball. If you hit the ball, it will be thrown back and will fly over Charlie. Sometimes there's Lucy, who hits back the ball, so they come to you again and you have to hit them a second or a third time. If Lucy doesn't appear the tennis ball will fly out of the screen.
Game differences
In game B there are more balls in play and the speed is faster than in game A.
Trivia
The maximum score is 9,999 and when the score reaches 200 & 500 (1,200, 1,500, ...... to 9,500) points, all misses are canceled. If there are no misses, game goes into 'Chance Time' for 50 to 70 seconds, and then the scores are 5 points for returning Charlie's ball and 6 points for returning Lucy's ball.
Cheats and tricks
Remember Lucy's return comes at twice the speed of Charlie Brown's.Speed and ball quantity increase with the score. With every 100 points, speed returns to normal so you can take a breather before it starts to get faster again.
You need good timing to hit the ball at the right time. If Snoopy swings and misses, he can't move until his racket returns to its original position.
Points
When Snoopy returns Charlie Brown's ball you score 2 points (or 5 points in Chance Time) and when Snoopy returns Lucy's ball the score is 3 points (or 6 points in Chance Time).
Misses
You get one miss when Snoopy let a ball go by him and a CRASH! mark appears. Three misses (shown as a broken bottle) and the game ends.
Other notices
If you hold in Game A or Game B key the highest previous score will be displayed. The highest score will disappear if the ACL switch is pressed or if the batteries are detached. If the unit is left as it is after game is over, time display will appear in about five minutes. A game is not interrupted even if TIME key or other game keys are depressed during game playing.
