Gov. Chris Christie said New Jersey will now appeal to the highest court in the United States in a final attempt to get legalized online sports betting within the State borders.
The State already lost the three judicial rounds and now appeal to the Supreme Court in a last attempt.
New Jersey could be the only State offering online casino, poker and sportsbook.
In the $28 billion dollar online gambling market, 52% goes to Sports Betting, 26% to casino games, 14% to poker, 7% to bingo and 1% to other wagering games.
It's clear the interest of New Jersey to get sportsbook running in the State as clients away from land based casinos can wager on sports online.
"I do believe that the Supreme Court does give us the best chance for [sportsbetting] because they have been going in a direction of recognizing states rights over recognizing federal mandates," says state senator Ray Lesniak,
