The 110th U.S. Open, the second of pro golf`s four major tournaments, starts Thursday at Pebble Beach Golf Links in Pebble Beach, California (1 pm ET, ESPN). Lucas Glover is the defending champion.
NBA title on the line
The Los Angeles Lakers host the Boston Celtics for Game 7 of the NBA Finals on Thursday (9 pm ET, ABC, if necessary). The teams have met 11 times previously in the NBA finals. The Celtics are 9-2.
U.S., Slovenia clash at World Cup
The U.S. plays its second game at the World Cup on Friday, facing Slovenia in Johannesburg (10 am ET, ESPN). The U.S. and England played to a 1-1 draw in the opener for both teams on Saturday.
