Its that time of year when Major League Baseball and occasionally golf or tennis take over the sports spotlight. At least this year, though, we also have the World Cup.
There is one more big NBA event, however, and thats the 2010 NBA draft, which goes Thursday at Madison Square Garden. On Friday, Group of Death leaders Brazil and Portugal square off in South Africa. And in MLB, the New York Yankees close out a three-game set against the Los Angeles Dodgers on Sunday.

NBA Draft at MSG
The 2010 NBA draft takes place Thursday at Madison Square Garden in New York City, with the first two rounds broadcast live (7 pm ET, ESPN). Kentucky Wildcats point guard John Wall is expected to be selected first overall.
Group of Death foes clash
The top two teams in Group G otherwise known as the Group of Death go head-to-head on Friday when Brazil and Portugal square off in Durban, South Africa (10 am, ESPN). Brazil is 2-0-0 and Portugal is 1-1-0.
Yankees, Dodgers battle in L.A.
The New York Yankees wrap up a Western road swing with the finale of a three-game set against the Los Angeles Dodgers on Sunday (8 pm ET, ESPN). The Yankees will start A.J. Burnett against the Dodgers Clayton Kershaw.
